The Honorable Congressman John Mica Takes Time To Give Art Awards

I would like to thank the most honorable John Mica for taking time to invite me to  ” AN EXHIBITION AND AWARDS PRESENTATION THAT WILL HONOR THIS YEAR’S HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS PARTICIPATING IN THE CONGRESSIONAL ART CONTEST.”

This is indeed a wonderful way for a busy Congressman to relax after working with the many special interest groups who visit him in Washington, DC.  I am so very pleased that students in the 7th. Congressional District will have ” THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THEIR CREATIVE TALENTS WITH THE COMMUNITY AND COMPETE TO HAVE THEIR WORK DISPLAYED IN WASHINGTON, DC.”

This wonderful event will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Gateway Center for the Arts, 880 North 17-92;  DeBary, Florida.  The wonderful event starts at 7:00 p.m. and goes to 8:30 p.m.  I am so excited because many of the people in Central Florida have been wondering when Congress was going to have an art display in Washington, DC.

Might I respectfully suggest that there are many working and middle income citizens in DeBary and surrounding areas that have some very real questions for our elected representative.  Here are a few that I just know Congressman Mica would be glad to answer. 1) What have you done to control the record breaking National Debt that is now in excess of $ 14 TRILLION?  2) Wouldn’t you agree that this excessive debt was mainly caused by the irresponsible policies of the BUSH-OBAMA WELFARE PROGRAM FOR THE RICH AND THE SUPER-RICH WITH THE U.S. CONGRESS AS FULL PARTNER?  3) You have noticed that 48 of our 50 states have grossly unfunded and underfunded public employee pension funds that are under federal regulation, haven’t you? 4)  What will you do when state pension funds begin to fail and state governments come to congress and demand taxpayer money just like you gave to General Motors, Insurance companies, and corrupt investment banks?  5) Why is Congress still giving away billions of taxpayer dollars to foreign countries in foreign aid when our economy is in such bad shape? 6) Why does the government maintain that there is no inflation when gasoline is heading toward $ 4.00/gallon?  7) Why did a number of large multinational corporations, who MADE BILLIONS AND BILLIONS in profits, legally avoid paying taxes? 8) Why didn’t the U.S. SEC catch Bernie Madoff earlier since at least one person went to the SEC WITH DATA PROVING THAT MADOFF COULD NOT BE PROVIDING CORRECT INFORMATION TO THE U.S. GOVERNMENT?  9) How is it possible for you TO READ AND UNDERSTAND A LEGISLATIVE BILL THAT IS OVER 800 pages in length when it is delivered to you at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and due for a vote at 11:00 a.m. the next day?  10) Why is it that foreign countries can PROVIDE QUALITY HEALTH CARE TO ALL OF THEIR CITIZENS AT A FRACTION of the cost of our health care system?  11) Why does congress allow special interest groups to write so much of the legislation that you pass?  12) Will you accept resumes from individuals here tonight that are unemployed and try to help them?  13) Why do American students score so low on INTERNATIONALLY STANDARDIZED TESTS IN MATHEMATICS?  14) Why do American students score so low on INTERNATIONALLY STANDARDIZED TESTS IN THE NATURAL SCIENCES?

These are just a few of the questions that I know the citizens want to ask and you want to answer.  Possibly you could arrive at arounf 1:00 p.m. so the citizens could ask these questions and many more.  I sure hope that you have some really pretty ribbons to give to the art students.  THE PRINT MEDIA. WHO SEEMS TO HAVE DIFFICULTY IN ASKING SENSIBLE ECONOMIC QUESTIONS TO ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES, should feel free to submit these exact questions to the Congressman for answers.
