Senator Obama vs. President Obama vs. The Tea Party

Sanityandsense.com has gained a tremendous following throughout the U.S. and the world because it is a fact based website.  Opinions are offered only after facts are presented in a fair and just way.  This site has no other allegiance than to the Constitution of the U.S. and to the American People.

When Barak Obama was a member of the U.S. Senate, he voted against funding the Iraq War.  He adroitly used this fact over and over again to pound his main opponent, Hillary Clinton, into the ground.  It was only natural for the American People to believe that if he became president, President Obama would soon end the “endless” Middle East Wars.  Who could have guessed that he would do just the opposite?  President Obama has expanded both the scope and costs of the Middle East Wars which have helped create a great part of the financial crisis in the U.S.  Mr. Obama is a living and breathing example of the ” Military-Industrial Complex” that Grandfather Ike warned us about.

There are hundreds of military bases OUTSIDE of the U.S. that are unneeded and unnecessary.  Mr. Obama is a great supporter of the defense industry that gives so much money to congressional and Presidential candidates.  Not only is Mr. Obama not closing unneeded military bases outside the U.S., he has become the super arms salesman for the military-industrial complex.  I suppose that some people in Norway might want to take back his Peace Prize, but Obama seems prepared to fight to keep it.

The real joke on the American People happened when SENATOR Obama voted AGAINST raising the National Debt limit when George Bush(43) was president.  It was natural for the American People to assume that if he became president,  President Obama would reduce our National debt.  Who could have guessed that Mr. Obama’s only plan was to increase governmental spending, print more money, and continue the disastrous policies of President Bush(43) ?

President Obama made one serious mistake.  He assumed that his promises to the American People could become lies and the American People would ignore them.   He assumed that he could lie to the American People like Presidents Reagan, Bush (41), Clinton, and Bush (43).  Unfortunately the Tea Party came into existence and it appears that these elected representatives are going to do something unheard of in Washington, D.C.  The Tea Party representatives actually plan to keep their word to the people who elected them.  They will not vote for an increase in the National Debt Limit.

Sanityandsense.com fully supports the Tea Party demand for a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment.  This is a common sense idea that is greatly needed and necessary to protect all working-middle class Americans against the financial corruption of the U.S. Congress.  The Tea Party has identified the enemy and the enemy is the U.S. Congress and the president.  Our readers should be reminded that two-thirds of the state legislatures must ratify the amendment before it becomes the law of the U.S.

Sanityandsense suggests that the Balanced Budget Amendment should be one typed page in length or less.  Also, it is necessary for Congress to write the amendment clearly and precisely.  It should be readable like the rest of our Constitution.  While sanityandsense does not agree with every aspect of the Tea Party movement, a Balanced Budget Amendment will safeguard our economic system and greatly reduce congressional and presidential corruption.
