Saving General Motors

The U.S. Government rescue of General Motors in 2009, directed by President Barack Obama, did more to help China than the U.S.  While GM is still based in Detroit, this car maker earns much more revenue from its Chinese affiliate than its U.S. affiliates.

Republicans may have criticized the Obama money given to GM as a payoff to organized labor, but clearly the money sent to GM did much more for GM China than the U.S. based United Auto Workers.
