The Fiscal Cliff

In February, 2012, Ben Bernanke became the first person to use the term ” Fiscal Cliff .”   As chairman of the Federal Reserve System, Ben Bernanke was speaking to the Financial Services Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives when he stated: ” …  a massive fiscal cliff of large spending cuts and tax increases…” would take place on January 1, 2013, unless  congress and the president acted responsibly.

The little bearded philosopher really has a great sense of humor to suggest that either the congress or the president could act responsibly.  The U.S. Congress has a nine percent approval rating.  Even used car salesmen are held in higher regard than members of the U.S. Congress.

The two major candidates in the November, 2012, election were an incumbent president that operated without a federal budget and a republican challenger who offered bland generalities in place of a federal budget.  As Obama drives the economic bus over the cliff, I hope that the American Public can see the humor in this.

Obama’s chief buffoon, ” Turbo Tax Timmy” Geithner, recently had a meeting with ” Crying John ” Boehner.  It is beyond ludicrous to envision a meeting between ” Turbo Tax Timmy” and ” Crying John” in a serious effort to create meaningful economic policies.  These two clowns are so dim witted that they make Sarah Palin and Joe Biden appear to have normal intelligence by comparison.

If the fiscal cliff involved sane and sensible economic policies, it would have never been created by our corrupt politicians in the first place.  Obama, our great socialist-welfare president, believes that his group of ” Chicago Thugs” can force congress to: 1) Increase taxes, 2) Increase spending, and 3) Increase our National Debt to ever higher levels.  On the other side, ” Crying John ” and his republican buffoons have been so busy preaching against gay marriage and abortion that they forgot they had a moral commitment to create an alternative budget.  This really is humorous in a psychotic way.

A similar scenario happened when Clinton was president and Gingrich was Speaker of the House.  The U.S. Government actually began a controlled shutdown during this budget fight.

Unfortunately, neither Obama nor Boehner have the common sense, the intelligence, and the ability to work with economic ideas in a political setting.  Most Americans are taking a line from Clint Eastwood.  As the great welfare-socialist and Crying John drive the economic bus toward the cliff, most Americans will be thinking: ” Go ahead punks.  Make our day.”
