A longtime friend from South Florida recently invited me to his retirement party. I was unable to attend, but sent him an e-mail asking him what he planned to do when he retired. The following is his response to my question.
” I have a lot of interesting things planned now that I am retired. I recently applied for a building permit for a new home. The home was going to be 100 feet tall and 400 feet wide and it will contain 12 gun turrets. It will also have a loud outside entertainment sound system that will broadcast to the entire neighborhood. It will also have a parking lot for 200 cars, and I plan to paint it green with a pink trim.
The city council told me, ” Forget it… IT AIN’T GONNA EVER HAPPEN. ” So I sent the application in again, but this time I called it a Mosque.
Work starts on Monday. ”
