Joe Biden, Cornpop, Hairy Legs, And Me

When I was a public school student in Junior High school and later in High School, I always went out of my way to be polite to fellow students that were then labeled as retarded.  In Junior High school, I was the exercise leader in my P.E. class.  On the way out to the field, my PE class passed a portable classroom where some intellectually deficient students stayed.  Whenever one of my PE classmates made fun of these students, I always told him to “knock it off.” I saw no reason to be unkind to someone just because they had difficulty learning or was less fortunate.

That was almost 60 years ago and I still see no reason to be unkind to anyone except in self defense.  Therefore, I respectfully write this essay to Joe Biden.

Having lived on this earth for more than 7 decades, I have some firsthand knowledge about aging.  I know that different individuals age in different ways.  I believe that my mind is sharper than it has ever been and might be partly due to my background in nutrition and biochemistry.  The neurons in my brain receive phosphatidyl Serene and some other nutrients that are helpful to the brain and the Central Nervous System each day. They are safe and non prescription nutrients.  Sadly, I have arthritis and I have had no luck in treating arthritis with nutritional supplements.  So one system in my body is working well and another system is not.

It is painful for me to see and hear Joe Biden as he campaigns for President in the Democrat Party.  While I am not an M.D., it appears to me that the former Vice President has a neurodegenerative disease.  Sadly one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases is Alzheimer’s Disease.  There are an estimated 49 Million Americans over the age of 65 in the U.S. today.  Eleven percent suffer from mild to moderate dementia.  That would be about 5.4 Million Americans with some dementia.

The biochemistry of the brain is complex and a lot remains to be learned. The brilliant neurologist, Russell Blaylock, M.D., explains how nerve cells die in his book titled: EXCITOTXINS.  Many different studies have found that in Alzheimer’s disease there are a deficiency of energy producing enzymes.  The specific enzymes are: 1) Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex; 2) Transketolase; and 3) the ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex.  Also, amino acids and toxins in the environment play a role.

Just as I did not like to see any student make fun of others who were less fortunate when I was in school, I do not like to see incivility today.

Joe Biden’s recent babblings about ” Cornpop,” and children rubbing his hairy legs clearly demonstrates that the former Vice President has serious cognitive issues.  With all of the vile, disgusting, and reprehensible behavior displayed by the Democrat party toward President Trump, I would not like to see Mr. Biden become the object of jokes, derision, ridicule, and mockery.  Interestingly, the republicans have been fairly kind to a confused Joe Biden.  It has been the cut throat democrats who have slammed Biden, especially the extremely strange group seeking the Presidential nomination in the Democrat party.

If there is a scintilla of decency and kindness left in this world, Mr. Biden’s family and friends will ask him to cease his campaign.  Everyone knows that if Joe Biden tells a story about how he extorted a Ukrainian President by threatening to withhold foreign aid money, that he might say anything.  Couldn’t you just see Mr. Biden in his somewhat confused state saying to a reporter that he thinks is Barack Obama: ” Yeah Barack.  You and I sure funneled a lot of money to our democrat supporters and to our numbered Swiss Bank accounts.  You must have a fortune in your Swiss Bank account and in your Vatican Bank account. Those were the days, Barack. ”

R. Van Conoley ( Editor’s Note: Both republicans and democrats develop Alzheimer’s disease.  President Ronald Reagan, in his second term as President began to develop symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.  Vice President George H.W. Bush monitored the situation and protected both President Reagan and the American People.  It was Bush the Elder’s finest hour and few Americans understood the situation. However, it should never happen again !

( Editor’s Note 2: Former Governor of New York Mario Cuomo walked with a friend to meet President Reagan.  The friend began: ” Mr. President, I would like to introduce.” President Reagan stopped him and said: ” You do not have to introduce us, I know Lee Iacocca very well. ” In his last year as President when Reagan would forget something, he would say in his charming way: ” Well, God Bless you.”
